You can’t run from God. He sees everything!
King David posed this question directly, asking:
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [the grave], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:7–10
Its like water and air.
To get a picture of this, imagine air, it’s everywhere. Unless you are under water, then its water that’s everywhere. You can’t escape it. That’s what God is like. You can run but you can’t hide. Get used to the idea, there aren’t any secrets. He’s watching and listening at all times.
Before you were born, when you were born, and at every stage of your life God is there. How this can be true is a mystery we can’t understand, but there is no question it is a fact.
God himself spoke on the subject:
“Am I a God who is near,” declares the LORD, “And not a God far off? 24 “Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?” declares the LORD. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.
And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting. Hebrews 4:13
