Pressure is Your Friend

Most people run from pressure.

They avoid it, running from stress. But for those who want to achieve greatness, it is your best friend. For most, the concept that stress is a good thing is foreign. They don’t realize that without stress very little would be accomplished.

Pressure comes in many forms. Goals, competition and deadlines all create positive pressure in your life. They create specific events and time frames where your personal performance can be measured and tracked. They all serve to drive you towards greatness and higher performance.

Pressure keeps you honest.

It keeps you from wasting time. It keeps you from making excuses. It keeps you on track and forces you to change to become more productive and more efficient. Don't run from pressure, submit to it and let it change you.

Remember that pressure is what changes coal into diamonds.
