Jim Valvano had long since established his credentials as a winner through his successful career as a College basketball coach. His biggest achievement was winning the 1983 National Championship as coach at North Carolina State University. But 10 years later he found himself dealing with another much greater challenge - Cancer. 

As his life was coming to an end, he took the stage at the ESPY Award ceremony and gave one of the most moving speeches of all time. It is played over and over again and stands as an all-time great statement of the triumph of the human spirit.
