What Really Makes You Special?

Do you ever wonder?
Why such a high percentage of the super-gifted, beautiful, smart, talented people never make it?
We envy them!
Yet so many of them blow it, fail, fade away, quit, evaporate along the way when pressure and confusion comes—as it comes to everyone—in all things? They never learn the BIG lesson for themselves.
Why don't they "get it"?
They hear it. They are aware of it. Yet they never really accept that it applies to them. It's for everyone else. Not them—they are special. They think same rules don't apply to them, because things came easier to them as they came up.
What is the BIG Lesson?
Sometimes, You just have to suck it up and deal with it! No one is coming to bail you out. No one cares if you're "special." This time you have gotten into a situation where you can't call for help, you have no choice but to ...Suck it up and deal with it. And for so many of the "special" ones, sometimes, it's just too overwhelming to accept. So...they quit. The rest of us learned that lesson early in life and have been developing the strength, experience and skills to deal with life on our own, all through our lives. We learned early we had to stand and fight. So when those moments come, we suck it up and deal with it.
You might be more special than you thought.
Unfortunately the "special" ones, so beautiful, talented and gifted, too often grow up fragile.
When adversity comes they crumble. And the rest of us wonder why. The reason is they never had to develop toughness. Maybe we shouldn't envy them so much. For the long haul of life, maybe the most important quality to have is "toughness." It may be that you grew up and were not one of the “special ones”, yet because of that you developed a thicker skin, a stronger fighting spirit and a determination to overcome problems. And for the rest of your life, that may be the most important ability you use to actually “become” special and to do something GREAT with your life! Because when adversity comes, you actually do know how to...“Suck it up."
