Like A Priceless Diamond

Greatness shines and stands out. You cannot deny it when you see it.It stands out

Mediocrity is easy to find in life but Greatness is so rare it stands out like a priceless diamond. No one is paying big money for Mediocrity but there are incredible rewards of all kinds for those who choose to go for Greatness.

Life is so short, why not go for the top?

What’s the downside? There is none. You never know what you are capable of until you give yourself a chance.

Of course the odds are against you, but so what? If you don’t even try you’ll always wonder if you could. Plus the worst thing that happens is that you could learn some great lessons you can use the rest of your life.

You know you’re thinking about it so get up and go!

Enough talking. Now! The clock is ticking. The time is right.

What can you do today to start on your quest to greatness?

Ah, "Mediocrity"..."the hobgoblin of little minds"(I quote something like that.) When I first began writing, I sent my material to a local publication and it came back all edited in the most outrageous places, taking the umph out of it, stripped of its personality. The editor was so nervous about all, she held to "bland" in stories. In the next years I still aimed for mediocre publications, not realizing the full value of my work. Only after 5 years did I venture out, sending my material to others...Today I am in Wall Street Journal, Scripps Howard, Providence Journal, and I write the highly-acclaimed "Encouragement in a Difficult World: Biddy Bytes Blog" at www.biddybytes.com

Moral of story: Think BIG...It requires just as much effort to send material out to those higher up the chain as is required for sending out locally. It's just the return with the BIG GUYS is so much sweeter. Even more ironic: They never edited me the way the fiirst did; in fact, they don't edit me at all and leave all pretty much as I submit.

Just some food for thought to go along with your own message regarding the "diamond."

I agree with Biddy Bytes. It's hard to remember to push ourselves and take a risk to step out. I'm going to check out your site BB!

I agree Biddy Bytes, it's a lot easier to accept nonsense criticism when you realize the one giving it is a whole lot dumber than you! It's always revealing to see how the "dull" interpret things. Not insightful—but interesting.
